In VTB League Game of the Week, CSKA Moscow relied on their defence to beat Lokomotiv Kuban at home (70-57).
The Muscovites had control of the game from the opening tip (24-19) and closed the first half in front by four (35-31).
In the third quarter, the hosts outscored their opponents 16-9 and took a double-digit lead (51-40). Since then, the visitors couldn’t turn things around and were defeated.
Four players scored in double figures for the winners, with Nando De Colo having a game-high 16 points.
Vitaly Fridzon and Mateus Ponitka stood out for the losing squad, with 10 points apiece.
CSKA Moscow improved to 16-1, whereas Lokomotiv Kuban dropped to 16-5.
