The Utah Jazz center and reigning NBA defensive player of the year Rudy Gobert lost an $1 million bonus with the 2019 NBA All-Star snub. Speaking about the upcoming All-Star game and his personal situation, Gobert became very emotional.

Here is what the 26-year-old player said, per The Guardian:

“I feel disrespected. Disrespectful, not only towards me but towards the team, the organization and towards the game. All the coaches preach about defense. Every day they talk about defense, they talk about how important it is to get stops in order to win basketball games. And when it’s time to vote, they they’re not able to reward the best defensive player in the world.”

In his age-26 season, Rudy Gobert is averaging 15.0 points, 12.8 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 2.2 assists per game, while shooting at 65.0 percent from the floor in 37.0 minutes of action.
