Thanks to a 23-3 run in the fourth quarter, Khimki earned a big victory over Zalgiris Kaunas at home and remained alive in the play-off race (74-64).

The Lithuanians took control of the game late in the second quarter (36-37, 38-44, 41-49) and were in front by nine early in the fourth quarter (47-56).

Since then, though, the Russians were unstoppable. They went on a 23-3 run and never looked back.

The hosts outscored the visitors 27-8 in the final 10 minutes of the game and cruised to a crucial win at home.

Jordan Mickey led the winners with 20 points and nine rebounds, with Malcolm Thomas adding 16 points, eight boards and three blocks and Tony Crocker posting 14 points (on 4/5 from beyond the arc).

Marius Grigonis (15 points) and Nate Wolters (10 points) stood out for the losing squad.

Both teams now have identical records (8-13).
