Partizan triumphed over Monaco

Partizan claimed a big victory on the road against Monaco (68-71) and boosted its chances to qualify to the quarter-finals.

The Serbians led for the majority of the game, but the French team still has the tie-breaker, thanks to its win last week (68-72).

It was a close game for three quarters (17-23, 41-38, 52-53), but the visitors went on a 2-9 run early in the fourth quarter to take the lead and never look back (54-62).

However, Sergii Gladyr made three free throws, with 4.3 seconds remaining, and saved the day for the hosts regarding the tie-breaker (68-71).

Alex Renfroe led the winners with 20 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Vanja Marinkovic added 13 points and seven boards.

Paul Lacombe had a game-high 23 points and seven rebounds for the losing squad, with Derek Needham and Elmedin Kikanovic posting 10 points apiece.

Both teams now have identical records (2-2).

In the other two matches, ALBA Berlin (3-1) edged Rytas Vilnius (1-3) at home (87-85), while ASVEL Villeurbanne (4-0) dominated Fraport Skyliners (0-4) (75-52).
