Derrick Rose scored 31 points as the Timberwolves beat the Suns

The Minnesota Timberwolves (22-24) past the Phoenix Suns (11-37) in a late thriller at home 116:114 (29:31, 35:36, 27:39, 25:18) and put an end to a two-game losing streak, meanwhile, the Suns extended their losing stretch to four games.

Derrick Rose came off the bench to lead the Timberwolves with a game-high 31 points (on 12/24 shooting, including 0/4 from three).

Rose contributed 29 of his 31 points in the second part of the game. In addition, he grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists. Rose made a clutch shot with 0.6 sec left and set Minnesota’s victory.

Karl-Anthony Towns added 30 points (on 8/22 shooting, including 1/5 from three), 12 rebounds, four assists, four steals and one block. Towns scored 28 of his 30 points in the first part of the game. Taj Gibson posted 17 points and five boards.

Minnesota made 6 on 24 three-point attempts.

On the other hand, T.J. Warren was the top scorer for the Suns with 21 points (on 7-15 shooting) and four rebounds, Devin Booker (six boards with six assists) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (eight rebounds) added 18 points apiece, Josh Jackson managed 15 points and five boards. Six Suns finished in double figures.

Phoenix made 12 on 39 three-point attempts.
