Maccabi Tel-Aviv keeps its play-off hopes alive

Maccabi Tel Aviv came back from a 10-point deficit and improved its chances to reach the playoffs, thanks to a 81-76 win over Buducnost.

The visitors were in front from the opening tip (12-18. 34-37), yet the hosts came back and tied the game (53-53).

The Israelis further enhanced their performance and took a seven-point lead (75-68), but Coty Clarke scored twice to make it an one-possession game.

Scottie Wilbekin, though, went to the free-throw line and sealed the deal for Maccabi.

Wilbekin finished the game with 16 points for the winners, as Tarik Black had 12 points and seven rebounds and DeAndre Kane 11 points, five boards and three steals.

On the other hand, Norris Cole returned to Tel-Aviv for the first time as an opponent and posted a game-high 25 points for the losing squad, with Earl Clark adding 13 points.

Maccabi improved to 6-11, whereas Buducnost dropped to 3-14.
