Kostas Papanikolaou led Olympiacos past Baskonia in a late thriller

Kostas Papanikolaou made a crazy three-pointer to tie the game, with three seconds to go, and Olympiacos survived Baskonia in overtime (91-87).

The “Reds” came back from a nine-point deficit (55-64, 57-66) and were down by one in the middle of the fourth quarter (67-68).

The Basques extended their lead to seven (67-74), but the hosts ended the game on a 13-6 run to force an overtime (80-80).

In the extra period, Papanikolaou and Zach LeDay made some big shots and helped the Greek team claim a big win at home and maintain a top four push.

Papanikolaou finished the game with 22 points (6/7 from beyond the arc), six rebounds and a PIR of 31.

LeDay added 23 points (10/13 shooting) and nine rebounds for the winners, with Giorgos Printezis and Nigel Williams-Goss posting 19 and 17 points, respectively.

Luca Vildoza had a team-high 19 points for the losing squad, with Johannes Voigtmann (10 points, 10 rebounds) and Vincent Poirier (17 points, 12 boards) making a double-double.

Marcelinho Huertas (17 points) and Darrun Hilliard (13 points) also scored in double figures for the Basques.

Olympiacos improved to 11-6, whereas Baskonia dropped to 7-10.
