The Portland Trail Blazers put an end to the Houston Rockets’ six-game winning streak, thanks to a 110-101 victory on Saturday night.

The hosts also snapped James Harden’s 40-point streak. The versatile guard finished with 38 points, falling just short of his sixth straight game with 40 or more points.

Jusuf Nurkic led the winners with 25 points and 15 rebounds, as CJ McCollum added 24 points and Damian Lillard contributed 17 points and 12 boards.

Apart from Harden, Austin Rivers scored a season-high 21 points for the losing squad, while Clint Capela posted 13 points and 21 rebounds.

Portland led by as many as 16 points in the third quarter, but Harden and Houston came back and cut the deficit to five in the fourth quarter (88-83).

But, the hosts stood tall, brought their lead back to double digits (97-85) and sealed the deal.

This was the third win in the last four games for the Blazers, who improved to 23-17. The Rockets dropped to 22-16.
