Antanas Sireika kept his promise to return to his first club Siauliai. Lithuanian coach started the season in Lietuvos Rytas but resigned in December. Sireika coached both Zalgiris and Rytas and won Eurobasket 2003 while being in charge of Lithuania national team.
Siauliai are fourth in Lithuanian Basketball League with 6 wins and 2 losses. They are not so successful in the Baltic Basketball League sitting in 8th place with 4 wins and 6 losses.
Siauliai also participate in Eurochallenge after being knocked-out in Eurocup's first qualifying round by Galatasaray.The club plays in Group D in Eurochallenge along with EiffelTowers (Netherlands), AEL (Cyprus) and Allianz Swans Gmunden (Austria). Siauliai are third with two games left to play.
