Neven Spahija agreed to take head coach position of Pamesa Valencia. Croatia tactician previously was coaching TAU Ceramica and reached Euroleague Final Four and won ACB title but had to leave the club. Spahija also coached Lietuvos Rytas and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
In 2005 Spahija was in charge of Croatia national team which reached Eurobasket quarter-finals eventually losing to Spain in a famous game.
He increased his value massively after a successful season debut season in Euroleague with Lietuvos Rytas. Next season he was bought by Maccabi but managed to stay there for one year only before moving to Spain.
