In a close game until the end, Real Madrid stood tall and defeated Murcia at home (80-74) to remain close to the top of the standings.
The visitors were in front by one, with two and a half minutes to go (69-70).
Yet, the hosts reacted and closed the game on an 11-4 run to seal the deal. Sergio Llull, Trey Thompkins and Felipe Reyes made big shots and gave their team the win.
Thompkins had a game-high 22 points for the winners, with Llull adding 13 and Facundo Campazzo 11 points.
Askia Booker scored a team-high 18 points for the losing squad.
Real Madrid improved to 10-3 and secured its place to the 2019 Copa Del Rey, whereas Murcia dropped to 5-8.
