The Houston Rockets acquired Austin Rivers

According to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, point/shooting guard Austin Rivers and the Houston Rockets agreed to a contract. The deal is guaranteed through this season.

Rivers started  the season with the Washington Wizards and played 29 games, while he was traded to the Phoenix Suns on December 17. Shortly after that, the Suns released the 26-year-old player, making him a free agent.

This season, Rivers is averaging 7.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting at 39.2 percent from the field in 23 minutes of action.
