Real Madrid endured Bayern Munich’s come-back and claimed a crucial victory on the road (72-82) to remain close to Fenerbahce (12-2).
The “Whites” were dominant from the opening tip (16-27) and closed the first half in front by 15 (31-46).
The hosts reacted, though, and went on a 28-19 run to cut the deficit to six (59-65). Yet, the defending champions stood tall and brought the lead back to double digits to seal the deal (72-82).
Anthony Randolph (22 points) and Sergio Llull (19 points) were the best players for the winners.
Stefan Jovic had a team-high 11 points for the losing squad, as three more players scored in double figures.
Real Madrid improved to 12-2, whereas Bayern Munich dropped to 7-7.
