Zalgiris defeated Greek giants Panathinaikos 80:69 in Moscow to take Alexandr Gomelsky Cup and 45,000 Euros. Paulius Jankunas and Ratko Varda both had 15 points for Zalgiris. Both teams will meet each other in Euroleague first round in Athens. Zeljko Obradovic took two time-outs in the dying minutes but they changed nothing.

Erazem Lorbek was the top scorer for CSKA with 22 points while Carlos Arroyo had 13 for Maccabi.
