Armani Milano missed four shots in the last 37 seconds and Bayern Munich escaped from Italy with a big win (78-80).

In a close game from the opening tip (16-15, 40-41, 57-58), the visitors quickly took a lead in the fourth quarter (59-63). Yet, the hosts responded immediately, thanks to an 8-0 run (67-63).

A three-pointer by Nemanja Nedovic brought the Italians very close to the win (78-74), but a two-pointer by Danilo Barthel and a three-point play by Derrick Williams put the Germans ahead (78-79).

Mike James missed the three-pointer and immediately fouled Nihad Dedovic.

Dedovic made one free throw (78-80) and James had the opportunity to force an overtime. However, he missed the driving floater and Bayern claimed a big win on the road.

Williams led the winners with 21 points, as Petteri Koponen added 13 and Leon Radosevic and Stefan Jovic posted 10 apiece.

James scored a team-high 17 points for the losing squad, with Vladimir Micov contributing 16, Arturas Gudaitis 13 and Nedovic 11.

Bayern earned their third straight win and improved to 7-6, whereas Armani Milano suffered their fifth straight defeat and dropped to 6-7.
