Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann visited the Barclays Center to watch the Brooklyn Nets take on the Atlanta Hawks. The World Cup winner said it is a “dream come true” to watch the Nets and meet one of his favourite NBA players D’Angelo Russell.

Talking during his visit to the Barclays Center, Griezmann commented:

“Atletico gave me two days off so I wanted to fulfil one of my dreams: come to Brooklyn to watch the Nets play and to meet D’Angelo Russell. I’m really happy.

“As I said I’m really happy, it’s a dream come true. D’Angelo Russell is a player I really love watching and Brooklyn is a team I have followed closely this year. I really wanted to come and watch a game and to see a win was great. I also love the arena, I think it’s one of the most beautiful I’ve been to.

“It’s a sport I love to watch on TV. And when I have days-off, I also love to come to the US to watch a game. I had originally planned a trip around Christmas but unfortunately that had to be cancelled so I decided to have a quick two day roundtrip from Madrid to watch this game and meet D’Angelo Russell.”
