AEK Athens rallied past Hapoel Jerusalem, extended its winning streak

AEK Athens played excellent in the first and the fourth quarter and claimed a big victory on the road against Hapoel Jerusalem (70-83).

This was the eighth straight win for the defending champions in all competitions.

AEK made a great start to the game (13-29), yet Hapoel turned things around and cut the deficit to five at halftime (43-48).

The hosts remained competitive (56-61), but the visitors outscored their opponents 14-22 in the fourth quarter to seal the deal.

Malcolm Griffin led the winners with 25 points (11/14 shooting) and seven rebounds, as Vince Hunter added 16 points and eight boards.

James Feldeine had a team-high 16 points (7/21 shooting) for the losing squad, as TaShawn Thomas posted 13 points and 11 boards.

AEK Athens improved to 7-1, whereas Hapoel Jerusalem dropped to 6-2.

The first day of the eighth round in the BCL saw only two of the hosts claim the win at home.
