Gran Canaria endured Armani Milano’s come-back and shocked the Italians to claim their second straight victory on the road (86-94).
A 18-28 run in the second quarter helped the Spaniards end the first half in front by eight (40-48).
Things didn’t change much in the third quarter (63-71), but the hosts went on a 17-11 run to cut the deficit to two (80-82).
The visitors stood tall, though, and scored crucial baskets to seal the deal, as Mike James and Arturas Gudaitis missed four shots in the same play.
Marcus Eriksson had a team-high 17 points for the winners, as Kim Tillie added 12 points and six rebounds.
On the other hand, James was unstoppable, with a game-high 26 points (on 7/19 shooting) and eight assists, with Gudaitis posting a monstrous double-double (16 points, 17 boards).
Gran Canaria improved to 4-7, whereas Armani Milano dropped to 6-5.
