Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz will remain out of action for three to six weeks, due to a right shoulder injury.

As revealed by his attorney/agent, Raymond Brothers, Fultz was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome and his condition will be treated with physical therapy.

The number 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft is expected to return to the court in January.

Per Brothers and the ESPN, the thoracic outlet syndrome “affects nerves between the neck and shoulder resulting in abnormal functional movement and range of motion, thus severely limiting Markelle’s ability to shoot a basketball.”
