Alexey Shved shelved in major Khimki blow

Following on from two massive EuroLeague MVP showings this week, Khimki guard Alexey Shved will now face up to a month on the sidelines.

Shved, who posted a double-double 25 points and 10 assists in Khimki’s 84-83 win over Zalgiris has suffered a broken finger and be out for four weeks.

Khimki broke the news over Shved’s injury over social media on Saturday.

Khimki opened this season with 3-6 record, but Shved has been off to a stellar start, averaging league-leading 25.3 points per game.

The talented Russian guard also ranks second in the EuroLeague with 7.4 assists and third with 1.8 steals per contest, while leading the competition with an average performance index rating of 25.9 per game.
