Barca in the final, Pao is one up

Bootsy ThorntonBarcelona advaced to the ACB's final after an easy home win over Joventut Badalona and won the ticket to the Euroleague next season. Panathinaikos beat Olympiacos at home and lead 1-0 in the final, while Siena won easily at Milano to move 2-0 up in the semi-final.

Panathinaikos took a 1-0 lead in the final in Greece after a very hard win over Olympiacos at home, 83-79. The first quarter was all green, who stopped Oly on 8 points and Pao lead 17-8.

Oly came back impressive to equality and kept the game close until the end, when the reds miss twice after an offensive rebound in 79-77 down. Saras close things in the end of the game and was the top scorer with 23 points and 5 ass and Batiste with 17 points to Pao. Schortsianitis and Teodosic put 13 each for Oly.

Barcelona advanced to the ACB's final after nice 85-71 home win over Badalona. Barca started with amazing 20-6 in the first half, and despite come-back by Badalona at half time (45-40), Acker an Ilyasova were too strong for Rudy Fernandez (weak).

This means that Barca will get the 4th place in Euroleague for Spain (Real Madrid, TAU Ceramica and Unicaja) and Juventut will be the 5th Spanish team as a ULEB Cup winners. Acker was great with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists while Ilyasova made unbelievable double-double with 15 points and 18 rebounds!

Siena came close to an expected final after 82-69 over Milano away. Siena is 2-0 at the semi final and made an impressive second half, after only 42-41 lead at the break. 3 triples and good game by Thornton were too much for Gallinari. Thornton finished with 20 points and Lavrinovic added 18 for the greens.
