Olympiacos and Real Madrid victorious before Thursday’s matchup

Olympiacos and Real Madrid defeated Bayern Munich and Gran Canaria, respectively, and are now getting ready for Thursday’s battle (22/11).

The “Reds” escaped from Germany with a big victory over Bayern Munich (62-72) and put an end to a three-game losing streak.

Although it was a close game for three quarters (15-15, 27-31, 43-45), the visitors made some big shots in the last part of the match and went on a 19-27 run to win the game.

Zach LeDay (12 points, 12 rebounds) and Nikola Milutinov (11 points, seven boards) were the best players for the Greeks, with Janis Strelnieks (10 points) and Vassilis Spanoulis (nine points) leading the way in the fourth quarter.

On the other hand, Derrick Williams and Vladimir Lucic scored 15 points apiece for the losing squad.

Olympiacos claimed its fourth win in the season (4-4), whereas Bayern suffered its fifth defeat (3-5).

Although Gran Canaria remained competitive for three quarters (22-28, 47-43, 62-57), Real Madrid stood tall and claimed another victory at home (89-76) to maintain its perfect record (8-0).

Anthony Randolph had a team-high 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners, as Klemen Prepelic added 13. D.J Strawberry scored 20 points for the losing squad, with Eulis Baez posting 14.

The “Whites” remained unbeaten (8-0), whereas Gran Canaria lost for the sixth time in the season (2-6).
