TalkBasket.net spoke with Erick Green, following the victory of Fenerbahce against Olympiacos in Piraeus on Thursday night (72-73).
Here is what the American combo guard said:
On joining Fenerbahce: “It’s an honour. They are winners. It’s great to be here. I am trying to find my role, to fit in, but I do whatever it takes to help the team.”
On whether he has adjusted well to the team so far: “I have been with the team for just three weeks, it is still an adjusting period for me. Yet, I try my best to help the squad and my teammates.”
On Kostas Sloukas and his great performance against the “Reds” (20 points, 6/13 shooting): “He is an amazing player, he is a warrior on the court and it’s fun playing alongside him.”
On what was the key to Fenerbahce’s victory: “Playing on the road is tough, Olympiacos are good, especially at home, it is always tough here. However, we handled it really well on both ends of the floor and won the game.”
