Ahead of tonight’s game, Zalgiris Kaunas head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius referred to Barcelona head coach, Svetislav Pesic.
Here is what the Lithuanian coach said, per Donatas Urbonas:
On his relationship with Pesic: “We never had the best relationship. But, I didn’t have any problems with him. We talk to each other normally.”
On Pesic’s locker room speech about “Saras as his 3rd assistant in Barca”: “I don’t have problems with locker room speeches. Sometimes I also motivate my players this way. The only problem it went public. We’re family & we solve our problems inside the team.”
On what Barcelona coach said regarding the Lithuanian League: “It’s his opinion. But, I think that we have far better teams than Fuenlabrada. I always followed the philosophy to look at yourself. But, if he doesn’t like LKL level, we’ll try to make it higher for him.”
