Carmelo Anthony missed the last Houston Rockets’ game agaist the San Antonio Spurs due to illness, as reported. But the real cause of the 34-year-old forward absence might be different.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of the ESPN, the Houston Rockets and Carmelo Anthony had a discussion about “his role and how they might still be able to proceed together” for the remainder of the season.

This season, Anthony mostly coming off the bench to score 13.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 0.5 assist per game, while shooting at 40.5 percent from the floor.
