Ioannis Papapetrou appeared on the latest EuroLeague “Focus on” video and talked about his decision to sign with Panathinaikos.
Here is what the 24-year-old forward, who spent the previous five seasons with Olympiacos, said:
On leaving the “Reds” to join the “Greens”: “I was trying to think what’s best for me and my family. About what my dad did here and how much the fans love my dad, I want to separate myself and gain the same respect.
I don’t think I made a mistake going to Olympiacos. Right now I made this change and I feel very familiar here.”
On tonight’s game (09/11) between the two EuroLeague giants: “It is going to be a tough game for sure, but the most important out of all this is to win the game.”
