C.J McCollum and the Blazers dominated Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks

C.J McCollum was unstoppable offensively (40 points) and led the Portland Trail Blazers past the Milwaukee Bucks at home (118-103).

The American combo guard scored 19 of his 40 points in the third quarter (17/26 shooting), while he also grabbed five rebounds, dished six assists and made four steals. Evan Turner had 16 points and 11 boards for the winners, with Damian Lillard contributing 13.

On the other hand, Giannis Antetokounmpo posted a team-high 23 points for the losing squad, along with nine dunks, nine rebounds and six assists, while Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez scored 22 points apiece.

Portland took control of the game from the opening tip and closed the first half in front by six (57-51). The hosts played even better in the third quarter and outscored their opponents 34-26 to extend their lead to 14 (91-77).

Milwaukee tried to make a come-back in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t turn things around and, consequently, they were defeated.

The Blazers were victorious for the eighth time this season (8-3), whereas the Bucks suffered just their second defeat (8-2).
