A 26-11 run in the third quarter was enough for Baskonia to dominate Darussafaka at home (82-56) and return to the winning track.
Tornike Shengelia had a game-high 13 points, along with six rebounds. Vincent Poirier made a double-double for the winners (10 points, 10 boards). On the other hand, Oguz Savas and Michael Eric scored 12 point apiece for the losing squad.
It was a close game in the first quarter (16-16), with the Basques improving their performance and closing the first half in front by eight (38-30).
In the third quarter, the hosts exploded, played excellent on both ends of the floor and outscored their opponents 26-11 to take a 23-point lead and never look back (64-41). The Turks couldn’t make a come-back and, consequently, they were defeated.
Baskonia put an end to a three-game losing streak and claimed their second win in five games (2-3), whereas Darussafaka suffered their fourth loss in the season (1-4).
