Joventut interested in Santiago and Mensah-Bonsu

Pepu Hernandez, the new coach of the team, is to add some power under the basket by signing a new center. Daniel Santiago and Pops Mensah-Bonsu are both on the list of potential additions to DKV Joventut. Puerto Rico international Daniel Santiago is currently a player of Efes Pilsen. Though Turkish club is looking for ways to offload a couple of players since their elimination from Euroleague’s Top 16. Santiago spent several years of his career in Spain including spells with Barcelona and Unicaja.

Pops Mensah-Bonsu, who is a member of Great Britain national team, is struggling to establish an important role in CSKA Moscow and could be on his way to another team. He was already mentioned in a potential exchange deal with Unics Kazan involving Kresimir Loncar but the deal didn’t go through. Pops wouldn’t be new in Badalona as he already played for the Spanish club a couple of years ago and was one of the key players before getting injured.
