Zalgiris Kaunas announced on Thursday the addition of point guard Derrick Walton for the remainder of the season.
Walton (1.85 meters, 23 years old) played 16 games for Miami of the NBA last season, averaging 1.8 points in 9.2 minutes per game.
He spent the rest of his first professional season with Miami’s affiliate in the G League, Sioux City.
Prior to that, in four seasons at the University of Michigan, he averaged 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists over 127 games.
Walton will become eligible to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut once registered by Zalgiris.
