Lokomotiv Kuban, Unics Kazan and Valencia still undefeated in the EuroCup

Lokomotiv Kuban, Unics Kazan and Valencia remained unbeaten after the end of the third round in the EuroCup.

A 26-14 run in the third quarter was enough for Lokomotiv to decimate Tofas Bursa and claim their third straight win in the competition (3-0). The Russians outscored their opponents 53-34 in the second half and triumphed over the visitors (95-72).

Dmitry Kulagin and Vitaly Fridzon had 16 and 15 points, respectively, for the winners. On the other hand, Baris Ermis scored 13 points for Tofas Bursa, who suffered their second defeat (1-2).

Thanks to an amazing 31-6 run in the first quarter, Unics Kazan dominated Fiat Turin at home and earned their third win in a row (3-0). Things didn’t change much later (49-27, 69-52), as the Italians couldn’t turn things around and were defeated (95-72).

Raymar Morgan had 25 points for the Russians, with Errick McCollum and Maurice Ndour adding 15 and 14, respectively.

Tekele Cotton posted 18 points for Fiat Turin, who haven’t won in the league so far (0-3). Tyshawn Taylor contributed 15 points.

Valencia edged Partizan at home (79-71) and remained undefeated in the EuroCup (3-0).

It was a close game between the two teams in the first half (20-21, 43-40), but the Spaniards went on a 21-14 run and never looked back (64-54).

Will Thomas led Valencia in scoring with 17 points and Mike Tobey added 15. Marcus Paige had 14 points for the Serbians.

In the other matches, Cedevita decimated Arka Gdynia (61-78), Alba Berlin beat Limoges on the road (93-102), Villeurbanne dominated Turk Telekom (84-63), Zenit St Petersburg crushed Trento on the road (60-93), Fraport Skyliners defeated Rytas Vilnius (61-70) and Unicaja Malaga prevailed over Mornar Bar.
