According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Los Angeles Clippers traded small forward Wesley Johnson in exchange for the New Orleans Pelicans center Alexis Ajinca.

Both players’ contracts are about to expire. The 31-year-old Wesley Johnson scored 5.4 points, grabbed 2.9 rebounds and dished 0.8 assists per game last season, while shooting at 40.8 percent from the floor.

Meanwhile, Alexis Ajinca missed the entire 2017-2018 season due to injury. In the 2016-2017 season, he averaged 5.3 points and 4.5 boards, while shooting at 50.0 percent from the field.

As Marc Stein of the New York Times reported, the Clippers will waive the 30-year-old French big man.
