Dirk Nowitzki has not participated in the Dallas Mavericks’ training camp yet, and his presence in the team’s season opener is in doubt.
The legendary German power forward/center is still recovering from an ankle surgery he had in April and it is uncertain whether he will be available for the squad’s match against the Phoenix Suns on October 18th.
“He has made some progress with his recovery, but there is not an exact timeline for his return to action,” the Mavs’ head coach, Rick Carlisle, said.
