Barcelona came back from a 20-point deficit, but Baskonia stood tall and beat the Catalans (79-76) to qualify to the SuperCup Final.
The “Blaugrana” were down by 20 in the third quarter (60-40), but went on a 36-19 run to cut the deficit to three (79-76).
Chris Singleton blocked Shavon Shields’ lay-up attempt with 10 seconds remaining. Kyle Kuric missed the three-pointer at the buzzer, though, and Baskonia claimed the victory.
Patricio Garino had 16 points (4/5 from beyond the arc) for the winners, with Shields adding 13 and Vincent Poirier 10 and eight rebounds.
On the other hand, Kuric scored a team-high 16 points for the Catalans, with Victor Claver contributing 13. Kevin Pangos had 10 points and eight assists.
