The ACB revealed that the referees will be able to make an extensive use of the instant replay in the upcoming season.
Thanks to the changes, the referees will be able to review many situations. These will include whether a foul is normal or unsportsmanlike, if there is a shot-clock violation, to check if a block is illegal, etc.
At the same time, the head coaches will also have the right to request a play to be reviewed via the instant replay.
This will happen only once in every game. Yet, if the instant replay changes the referees’ initial decision, then the coaches can ask for another play to be reviewed.
These changes will take place in both the ACB and the EuroLeague.
