According to Shams Charania and Jon Krawczynski, 29-year-old small forward Jimmy Butler and a four-time NBA All-Star wants to leave the Minnesota Timberwolves.

NBA Most Improved Player (2015) prefers three teams as his destination possibilities: the Brooklyn Nets, the Los Angeles Clippers and the New York Knicks.

Meanwhile the Minnesota Timberwolves have no intentions to trade Butler. Next season Butler could use his contract option and become a free agent. There was information before that Butler was discontent with the indifferent attitudes to the game of his young teammates – Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins.

Nevertheless, according to Krawczynski, Butler’s willingness to leave the Timberwolves “had little if anything to do with Towns and Wiggins. More to do with contractual matters”. Jimmy Butler was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves on June 22, 2017, in exchange for Zach LaVine, Khris Dunn and the rights to Lauri Markkanen.

Last season Butler was scoring 22.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
