36-year-old veteran Dwyane Wade and a three-time NBA champion officially signed his one-year and $2.4 million contract with the Miami Heat.

The Heat president Pat Riley speaking about Wade’s return said: “We are very delighted that Dwyane decided to return… I believe that Dwyane can play a big part in us winning, that’s what he is all about. I’m glad he’s back.”

For the 12-time All-Star and NBA Finals MVP (2006) this deal is likely the last one in his basketball career. The upcoming season for Wade will be his 16th and 14 and a half of those with the Heat.

Dwyane Wade played 876 games as the Heat member – that is a franchise record. He is also the Heat leader of all time with points (20,473), assists (5,009) and steals (1,433).

Last season Wade started with the Cleveland Cavaliers but in February returned to Miami. During his career Wade scored 22.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.
