A longtime Miami Heat player Udonis Haslem signed a new one-year $2.4 million veteran’s minimum deal with the Heat. It will be his 16th season playing in Miami.

This move does not look like a surprise, as the Heat president Pat Riley earlier on expressed will to keep power forward with the team. The 38-year-old veteran is known as Mr. 305 for his social activity in Miami.

Despite the fact that the team captain’s stats last season did not look very impressive – just 0.6 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.4 assists during 14 games – his role in the locker room is essential.

Speaking about his motivation to return, athlete said: “Every time I talk to the guys, they want me to come back”.

Udonis Haslem won three NBA championships (2006, 2012 and 2013) with the Heat. The Miami Heat is still waiting for Dwyane Wade’s decision about his future.
