Aleksandar Capin, Slovenian NT member, has reportedly signed 1+1 deal with Ukrainian champion Azovmash Mariupol. 26 years old point guard will join Slovenian coach Memi Becirovic who wanted to bring player to Olimpija Ljubljana in December ’07 when he was coach there.

Capin started previous season in Italia playing for Whirlpool Varese where he averaged 13.3 ppg and 2.9 apg in 15 games. After he was released from Italian team he signed for Panionios Athens. In Greece he averaged 8.4 ppg, 1.8  apg in 11 games in regular season and 6.2 ppg, 1.7 apg in 10 games in playoffs. He also played two games in ULEB Cup averaged 6.5 ppg and 1.5 apg.

He is on Slovenian national team’s list but is unlikely to play on Qualification tournament for Olimpic games since he is naturalited player like forward Emir Preldzic (Fenerbahce Ülker) who will probably get chance.
