Fenerbahce president, Ali Koc, referred to the club’s debt and the financial problems the 2017 EuroLeague champions are dealing with.

Koc revealed that some players didn’t receive their money on time, mentioning they had promised head coach, Zeljko Obradovic, that this issue would be solved, however they haven’t fixed it yet.

“We made a promise to Zeljko Obradovic about payments will be made in time. But we could not. I feel embarrassed in front of Obradovic, because we could not make the payment of salaries in time,” said the newly elected president of the Turkish powerhouse in the “Camiaya Seslenis” show of Fenerbahce TV.

“The first payment we made as the new board was the Final Four tickets since they were not paid during the stint of the former board,” he added.
As Koc stated, the basketball department’s debt is around 8.5 million euros, while the club’s overall debt is almost 621 million euros.
