Sarunas Jasikevicius did a great job in Zalgiris Kaunas last season and the Lithuanians have offered him a new contract, which will include a significant rise in his salary.
Per Donatas Urbonas, the young coach will earn 850.000 euros next year, which is the highest payroll for a coach in the history of the club. Jasikevicius earned 550.000 euros last season.
The 42-year-old coach showed he can become one of the best European coaches, as his team played excellent basketball in most games. He led Zalgiris to the Euroleague Final Four for the first time after 19 years, while he also saw his players win the Lithuanian championship for the 20th time.
