The Serbian point guard had trouble finding a team in the beginning of the season and Panionios recruited him so he could help out the Athenian team after their main point guard Keith McLeod was injured.
Vujanic averaged 10.7 ppg and 1.4 apg in seven games helping Panionios get some key wins. But after McLeod’s return Panionios can afford to let him go. Partizan on the other hand is looking to add a point guard since Curtis Jerrells is not helping as much as they expected him to.
The only obstacle is the 20.000 euros Panionios is asking to let him go (after he plays in a couple of more Greek A1 games) but the two sides should reach a solution soon as Partizan need the player at least 10 days before Euroleague Top16 tips-offs so he get in rhythm.
Vujanic was the Euroleague top scorer of 2002-03 season with Partizan averaging 25.8 ppg.
