Current Spain national team head coach Sergio Scariolo is reportedly due for talks with Unicaja Malaga.

According to Spanish newspaper, “Dario Sur”  Scariolo is expected to leave his post as national team coach and Unicaja are looking at the intentions of the Italian-born playcaller.

This is because Greek tactican, Fotis Katsikaris is set to continue his career outside of Spain with the NBA being his possible destination.

Scariolo was previously at the helm of Unicaja between 2003-2008 and he remains the only coach in the club’s history that has won the Spanish League and the Spanish Cup.

Unicaja, who won the EuroCup in 2017 is set to return to the second tier competition this season after a spell in the EuroLeague last term, where they failed to reach the post-season.
