Maccabi Tel Aviv have announced the agreement-in-principle with Serbian power forward/center Milan Macvan.
The player’s agent and the club administration have agreed and the official signing and final announcement are not far behind as we speak. The player is expected to sign a 4 or 5 years deal, with a considerably large buy-out sum during the latter stages of the contract.
The flirt between the two sides existed for months now, and as TalkBasket reported nine days ago the two sides had reached an agreement.
The player was a suggestion by Pini Gershon last summer and the club had even drawn up a contract, which leaked on the net. If the same terms will apply Maccabi will pay Hemofarm $500K buy-out until 2013 and the player will sign a progressively increasing contract starting with $550K per season and then moving to $600K, $700K, $800K year by year, not including the bonuses.
