Sergio Scariolo hits out at Greek Basketball President

Spain national team coach Sergio Scariolo has reacted to the Greek Basketball Federation President’s comments to Pau Gasol.

Greek basketball President Giorgos Vasilakopoulos was very critical of European nations using NBA players and he incredibly attacked Pau Gasol, stating that he wasn’t a player.

In response, Scariolo, who led Spain to Eurobasket titles in 2009, 2011 and 2015 responded to the comments on Twitter.

Scariolo, like many people who have responded to Mr. Vasilakopoulos’ wild opinions stated that Gasol is still Eurobasket’s all-time leading scorer, replacing France’s Tony Parker during last year’s group stages in Romania.
