Lietuvos Rytas releases Igor Milosevic

Igor MilosevicLietuvos Rytas parted ways with the Serbian-Greek guard Igor Milosevic. 24-year-old player joined Lithuanian champions in the middle of last season as the club hoped to turn him to a key player. However, Milosevic hasn’t performed the way he was expected.

The arrival of Sarunas Jasikevicius has also influenced the decision to cut Milosevic from the team. Rytas had too many point guards on the roster, namely, Khalid El-Amin, Sarunas Jasikevicius, Jerry Johnson, Igor Milosevic and Zydrunas Kelys and that was a large part of the reason to reduce the number of players athe point guard position by removing some players.

Milosevic has spent only 5 minutes in each of the last two Euroleague games for Rytas and finished scoreless as well as having negative index ranking. He also missed LKL game against Juventus on Saturday. During seven Euroleague games Milosevic averaged 4.5 points and 2.2 assists during 13 minutes of play.
