One week before starting its first Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs series, Zalgiris Kaunas announced a new contract with Brandon Davies that will keep the big man in Lithuania until the end of the 2019-20 season.

Davies (2.08 meters, 26 years old) arrived to Kaunas last summer and helped Zalgiris break through to the playoffs in his rookie EuroLeague campaign.

Davies appeared in all 30 regular season games, 27 of them as a starter, averaging 8.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and an 8.5 PIR for head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius.

Davies’ best game in the regular season arrived in Round 30, the last one, when he netted 18 points – making 10 of 11 free throws – to go with 6 rebounds and 4 steals in an 85-86 overtime road win against Olympiacos in Piraeus. That victory meant that the same two teams, Zalgiris and Olympiacos, will face off in a best-of-five playoff series starting a week from today, on Wednesday, April 18.
