Darussafaka Istanbul conquer Lokomotiv streak

Darusafaka Istanbul outlasted Lokomotiv Kuban 81-78 after overtime to end the Russian side’s 20-game unbeaten run in the competition as the EuroCup Finals got underway at Basket-Hall. 

The winners head home for game two on Friday needing another win to sweep the best-of-three series and to become the EuroCup champion for the first time in club history. 

A late three-pointer from Scottie Wilbekin tied the game at 72-72 to force overtime.

In a tense extra period, Chris Babb nailed a clutch triple with eight seconds left to seal a monumental win.

Wilbekin ended with 24 points to lead Darussafaka.
