Home EuroLeague Pesic new Valencia coach

Pesic new Valencia coach

Valencia had fired their coach Hussein last week, immediately after losing at home to AJ Milano and just a day before their next Euroleague game they’ve brought in a European courts veteran, Svetislav Pesic.

Pesic signed a deal which will keep him in Valencia, at least until the end of current season and according to rumours his wages will be 450K euros.

The Serbian coach will be in Ljubljana to watch the game of his new team vs Olimpija but will not coach the team. The team’s GM and vice-president Paco Raga stated: “I am plased to have coach Pesic leading our project. Although the deal was achieved quickly, it was not easy, as we had to negotiate many terms. We even offered him a contract until 2012 but the coach thought it would be better to sign until 2011 for now.”
