Basketball Champions League quarter-finals set

The Basketball Champions League quarter-finals are now set with eight sides having punched their ticket to the second phase of the playoffs this week. We will also have a new Champions League winner this season with Murcia eliminating inaugural champions Tenerife.

The quarter-final phase will be played over two rounds (Mar 27/28 and Apr 3/4) on a head-to-head format. The match-ups will be the following (teams indicated second will play the return leg at home):

Banvit (TUR) v AS Monaco (FRA)
Pinar Karsiyaka (TUR) v UCAM Murcia (ESP)
AEK (GRE) v SIG Strasbourg (FRA)
MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg (GER) v medi Bayreuth (GER)

Banvit (TUR) beat Nanterre 92 (FRA) in the Round of 16, winning the first leg 74-66 and the second leg 73-64 (147-130 in aggregate, +17 for Banvit).

AS Monaco (FRA) beat Stelmet Enea Zielona Gora (POL) in the Round of 16, winning the first leg 84-82 and the second leg 90-60 (174-142 in aggregate, +32 for AS Monaco).

Pinar Karsiyaka (TUR) beat PAOK (GRE) in the Round of 16, losing the first leg 68-74 and winning the second leg 79-67 (147-141 in aggregate, +6 for Pinar Karsiyaka).

UCAM Murcia (ESP) beat holders Iberostar Tenerife (ESP) in the Round of 16, losing the first leg 66-71, and winning the second leg 83-72 (149-143 in aggregate, +6 for UCAM Murcia).

AEK (GRE) beat CEZ Nymburk (CZE) in the Round of 16, losing the first leg 88-98, and winning the second leg 93-82 (181-180 in aggregate, +1 for AEK).
